Learn More About Our MissionOur Spiritan Charism and Work
The Congregation of the Holy Spirit, commonly known as the Spiritans, is a missionary congregation founded in 1703 by Claude Poullart des Places. Our charism is to serve the poor and the marginalized, especially where the Church has not yet been established or is in its early stages. We are committed to evangelization, education, social justice, and fostering vocations.
At Ss Mulumba and David Catholic Church, we strive to live out this charism daily. We share our living faith by proclaiming the Gospel in word and example, celebrating Christ's presence in worship and sacraments, and building a community where concern for one another is a priority.
- Engaging in evangelization and catechesis within the parish and beyond.
- Supporting educational initiatives for children and youth.
- Working for social justice and advocating for the dignity of all people.
- Fostering vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
- Providing pastoral care and spiritual guidance to the faithful.
