Basic Christian Community (BBC)

Basic Christian Communities (BCCs), also known as Small Christian Communities (SCCs), are small groups of families or individuals who gather regularly for prayer, Scripture sharing, mutual support, and community building. They are the Church at the grassroots level, fostering a deeper sense of belonging and active participation in the life of the parish.

Purpose and Activities:

Fellowship and Support: Building strong bonds of friendship and providing practical and spiritual support to one another.
Scripture Reflection: Deepening understanding of God's Word through shared reading and discussion.
Prayer and Worship: Engaging in communal prayer, intercession, and sometimes celebrating simple liturgies.
Evangelization: Living out the Gospel in daily life and reaching out to others in their neighborhoods.
Social Action: Identifying and responding to local needs, promoting justice and charity.

Sick Call and Communion Round

At Ss Mulumba and David Catholic Church, we are deeply committed to caring for our sick, elderly, and homebound parishioners. Our Sick Call and Communion Round ministry ensures that those unable to attend Mass regularly can still receive the Holy Eucharist and pastoral care.

How to Request a Visit:

If you or a loved one is ill, homebound, or in the hospital and wishes to receive Holy Communion or the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, please contact the Parish Office.

Our priests and extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion are dedicated to bringing the comforting presence of Christ to those who are suffering or isolated.

Marriage Information

The Sacrament of Matrimony is a sacred covenant, a lifelong partnership of love and life between a man and a woman, ordered to the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring. Ss Mulumba and David Catholic Church is honored to guide couples through their journey to this holy sacrament.

Marriage Preparation Process:

Initial Consultation: Couples should contact the parish office at least six months to one year prior to their desired wedding date.
Pre-Cana/Marriage Preparation Course: Participation in an approved marriage preparation program is required. This helps couples understand the spiritual, practical, and personal aspects of married life.
Meetings with a Priest: Regular meetings with a parish priest will cover theological, pastoral, and canonical aspects of Catholic marriage.
Documentation: Guidance will be provided on necessary documents, including baptismal certificates, confirmation certificates, and affidavits of freedom to marry.
