Since 1703, the Congregation of the Holy Spirit (Spiritans) has been dedicated to evangelization, serving the poor, marginalized, and those most in need.
“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” – 2 Corinthians 3:17.
Following in the footsteps of our founders, Claude Poullart des Places and Francis Libermann, and many Spiritan missionaries who have been recognized for their holiness, over 2,500 Spiritans continue to serve in more than 60 countries worldwide, bringing faith, education, and development to communities in need.

As the Congregation of the Holy Spirit, we are called to serve the most abandoned, especially where the Church is in its early stages. Rooted in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Ss Mulumba and David, we are a diverse community striving to be a living reflection of the Universal Church. Through our baptism, we continue Christ's mission, sharing our living faith by proclaiming the Gospel in word and example, and celebrating His presence in worship and sacraments.
